A Chief Development Officer (CDO) is a relationship focused role which engages with donors and funders, deriving revenue from sources such as: foundations, government, major gift donors, corporations, and annual donors. Due to being responsible for revenue development, this is a pivotal role in the success of a social profit organization and one of the most challenging roles to fill.
